    Session Two - April 18th (Key West) - 1:30pm - 5:00pm

The Travel Advisor's Handbooks Seminars - Presented by The Authors

"Qualifying - Are You Asking the Right Questions?"

It is essential that travel advisors properly qualify the customer, yet many do not take this part of the sales process seriously and some avoid it all together. This session will help you enhance your qualifying skills, and more importantly, your listening skills.

    "Setting Expectations"

Most issues a client faces during their vacation can be solved before they ever leave their home. We’ll share tips on how to set proper expectations for their vacation, including ways to prepare them for challenges they may face during their trip while helping them be “experts” before they hit the road.

    "Site Inspections & Purposeful Vacations"

Any chance to get onboard a ship or visit a vacation site is a huge opportunity for any travel advisor. But are you wasting your time while there? Are you maximizing the impact that a tour can have on your business? Are you leveraging your own vacations to sell them to others? This seminar will offer tips & tricks for turning inspections into sales.

    15 Minute Break

    "Make Your BDM Your BFF"

The role of the BDM is often misunderstood, and this can lead to frustration for both the advisor and the supplier representative. In this session, we will offer suggestions for cultivating a strong relationship with your BDM and your preferred brands. Special guest: Jill Forde - Field Sales Manager - South Texas for Celebrity Cruises.

    "The Art of Research"

A great travel advisor should be able to find answers to any question and itineraries to fit any client’s needs.
